Norwich City v Blues- Tilton Talk Back

Blues fans react to the away loss to Norwich City

We’re simply still not good enough! Same old every game.

I don’t understand how we go from dominating play to just absolute dribble, especially last night after having the goal disallowed!

The tempo drops, players become more cautious, passing becomes poor, pressing literally stops, we start unnecessarily fouling, lumping the ball long, we argue with the ref for what is obviously a blatant foul by us. The opposition senses the change and grows in confidence and we go on the back foot. We really do have a problem staying on top of the opposition when something goes against us. We lose belief and start playing with less intensity.

I’ve said it for years with Blues, it seems like there’s a psychological issue with our players and that then becomes the job of both the captain and manager to step up and fire up the team. For me, Klarer is not that the Roy Keane type leader that should be hammering players for basic errors. Which brings me to CD. Players are looking for a leader who is able to influence them to be more resilient and create a mentality where conceding goals shouldn’t change the emotional temperature of the whole team. Both he and Klarer need to be able to react when momentum is slipping and drag everyone back onto the front foot. I see the same players not up to it week in week out. We have some very capable players who have the ability, however the lack of strong leadership that should be reinforcing the self- belief they need is just not there.

There has been positive signs that we can perform and that our approach is working however, for me it’s time for a change and for someone that can get the best out of this team to come in and fire up that promotion bus!

Davies will focus on the disallowed goal but the truth is we are too obvious, our style of play is always the same, numerous useless long throws that achieve nothing, same routines at corners, same subs at 60 and 80 minutes. In my view with the injuries we have, it really is time to get the kids out and try something different because what we have is not good enough for top 6, which is where we need to be to get to the Premiership before 2030

Paik and iwata are no good we need a centre forward as well we have known this for a year ! Lund for Cochran look at the goals was a mistake ! The only saving grace for Davies was solis was injured so not much cover !!!

Do you think that Forsell could come back as a striker coach and perhaps even play?? You knew after the goal was disallowed and chances missed what would happen, it’s our achilles heel…..again

Thought a draw would have been a fair result tonight. Played much better the last 3/4 games but issues are there for all to see. 7 points from a possible 18 sitting 15th after spending over roughly £50 million in the last couple seasons on players which is more than most is that really good enough? I’m not sure.

Lack of recruitment and poor defending cost us and poor officiating as well
